@smackdee true, very true.... but when a machine doesn't work properly it becomes the equivalent to smacking rocks together. The other thing is the MV has superior specs.

i must admit the mv 8800 is a BEAST (next level)
But You Can't realy down talk the mpc...
All of the classic HipHop track where made on the mpc for instance Dj Premier...But,the mpc 5000 stays way far behind the mv 8800
I get my mv next month:)

Im an MPC user myself, but if I was gonna shell out alot of cash, I would defo go for the Mv8800 over the 5000.
The 5000 looks better, but the external Monitor and mouse connections of the Mv8800 make it a winner for me
