Brave Ellie May was tragically struck down with meningitis and had to have all four limbs amputated at the age of 16 months.

With the help of her parents, fundraisers and Dorset Orthopaedic, the world leader in prosthetic limbs and silicon cosmetic replacement, she's ready to begin school with her brother and sisters.

Ellie May is the youngest person to ever be fitted with Flex-Run™ feet, which brought its own challenges. Managing Director Bob Watts explains; "We had to make them especially for Ellie as they had never been made this small before. We were worried that she wouldnt be able to balance properly on them, but she has made amazing progress.

Within seconds of having them on, she was off. It will change her life."

This video documents the first time Ellie tries her new legs, and the physio training she undergoes as she learns to use them.
