Nice job...i really like the shot with the overpass and old bus- reminds me of waterbury ct, growin up there...I've been in scranton- awesome town

You people complaining that only some of this looks like Scranton are idiots. The fact that this even remotely resembles Scranton (where Ilive and grew up) is awesome. Go climb a tree...

I never cared much for the tiny Reading freight whistle on a large engine like the T-1 but this was VERY well done!! 5 stars.

We did not have room for the yard and shops, nor the Laurel Line loop, so we did our best. The DL&W express building, the Washington Street bridge, the Laurel Line station, the Mattes Street tower, the hot dog building and a couple of others are "right." The rest are filler buildings - essentially place holders until the "right" buildings were constructed. Unfortunately, we lost our home before the rest of the scratchbuilding and kitbashing could be done.

Other than two buildings, this scene is completely fabricated. Behind that bridge on the prototype are the loop for the Laurel Line and the yards and shops of the DL&W, which took up blocks. I don't see that here. Looks like a lot more "generic" than real prototype.

I was born in the very early 60s, and was raised about an hour's car drive from Scranton. As a kid, I was super-psyched about trains, so going to Scranton was always a thrill. I don't know if this model railroad is super-accurate, but it sure did remind me of earliest memories of Scranton. Thanks!
the shot around 1:30 should have the luarel Line station down below?

@TrainGuy18 Actually, the brick building towards the back is the Laurel Line Station, scratch build from photos of the original building. We just don't have the curve to put it on.

I see the S. Washington Ave. bridge by Coney Island Hotdogs, which is cool, but the rest isn't very accurate. Unless this is supposed to depict the old city of Scranton, in which case I'll say "good job, I think".

Renholder, good eye. That intersection is modeled as it was 50+ years ago. The express building across the street from the hot dog shop had a lower level for trucks. Later on it was Tony Harding's diner and then abandoned. Now it is an office building. The Mattes Street tower is in the back as in the Laurel Line depot. The rest of the city was modeled with a few specific buildings and a few "generic" ones to fill in.
