Had set a $300.00 budget so not bad.

My Art room had turned into a catchall room..
Got tired of the clutter and white blah walls..
wanted a retreat and place all my own.

I painted the walls Valspar 4002-7b Lavender Escape.
The trim is white (will be going back over it
with fresh paint at a later time when I do all the rest of the paint/trim in the house)

I bought new black bookcases,
new computer desk and it came with
another bookcase that works great with my printer.
I took a stretched canvas and made a custom headboard.
Used spackle to make textured circles..
after it set I added black paint.. then used hot glue in various glitter colors ..
I drizzled it all over.. then splattered paint on too.
sealed it all with 5 coats of clear matt spray.

Curtains. Black sheers.. I draped a piece of purple netting sheer over the window
with white netting and ribbon tie backs I made.

Pillows.. Dopey: I took a old fave sweatshirt cut it up.. made a pillow
orange pillow: sweater cut up and a pink love punk rocker T .. same cut up made a pillow..
added matching trim to all to bring them together.

Mobil: I took a plastic circle I had.. added ribbons..and the rest of the purple netting.. instant mobil.

Took the cork board we used for my Moms funeral.. It matched perfectly!
The puzzle she hid the piece to .. I framed in a vintage frame.
Left the piece missing added a tiny paper heart inside of the space.

I framed a special piece of art work : Tree original ink drawing.
Bought a black matt.. and a frame made of aged barn board.
Framed it and hung over my work table.
It is by my muse and inspires all my work.
I placed my work table in side the closet so I can shut everything up when I need to.

Added purple twinkle lights around the closet door.. cool at night!

Had a Photo of Dave.. tinted it purple . I made a custom matt for it.. took aluminum tape ... stained it with ink..
then cut it to fit.. used metal grommets to put it together.
Put in the frame.. covered it with more stained tape.
pulled it together nicely with the colors in the room.

Various items I had.. purple lava lamp and game boards.. toys and other items added color pops to the room.
Candles and polka dot boxes,book galore.. and a couple of cats hiding here and there..
and you have a room that is all me.
