  • I so totally don't understand how this works. You've got 2 servo's per leg - 1 rotates the elbow to move the foot forward and backward, and another lifts the foot up and down? So how does the foot move inward and outward from the body to do the sideways 'crab' gait? Got any close-up photos to please share?

  • @DhrTressie Hi there, appologies for the late reply. Yes there's two servos per leg but the linkages were designed so they produce a parabolic motion, there is a lift dominated phase while the leg is close to the body and an extension dominated phase when the leg is moved away from the body. The project was looking at reducing the number of actuators and sensors and this seemed like the best solution. If you want to drop me an email I can send you more info. Best wishes, Thomas.
