A timeless classic from Kishoreda...The song was composed by Kishoreda himself. Each time I listen to this song I am spell bound by this phenomenon called Kishore Kumar!!! I have assumed with my limited knowledge and little bit of research that the song is set in the raaga Puriya Dhanashri.

satlaj5: thanks for the wonderful upload. You're right, puriya dhanashree is definitely there. But it is interspersed with puriya kalyan, hence the shuddha dhaivat as well.

it's definitely not bhairavi..the sarod in the beginning is raag shree..however,most of the song is puriya dhanashree,with shades of yaman..

@SokolerJonno : I dont know abt Purvi... I always thought it to be a mixture of Puriya Dhanashri and Yaman ! But irrespective of that.. what a melody it is .. timeless !!!
