@purplecowadoom Well, knowing how much respect the Asian people have for magic, I'm not surprised that this show conveyed the message that magic is stronger than physical strength, particularly since the main plot of this show deals with magical artifacts.

@Igarappappa If the gloves were as strong as Tohru, though, the gloves still shouldn't be able to drag him. Tohru could always pull back and the two equal strengths of the gloves and Tohru would cancel each other out, so the gloves would have to have a slight edge in strength.

What would gloves do with treasure? I like to imagine that they give the treasure to whomever owns them, and are very kind to their owners (Hence tucking Jackie in), but they thought Jakie and the gang were going to destroy them so the decided to high tail it out of there.
