@Seejey8 Consulars rely on Force powers, while knights are more focused on lightsaber combat.
The Consular has 2 ways to specialise: a stealthy role (or a Tank role, depending on the tree you choose), named Shadow which is more focused on the use of the double bladed lightsaber.
While the ohter is called Jedi Sage, which focuses more on the active use of defensive and offensive Force powers and healing abilities.

@Teraskas Hold up, I have yet to play through inquistor all the way but he SHOULD be able to wield 1 saber. It's a passive proficiancy. WHen you advance to Assassin you learn double bladed but never lose single. The downside is you don't have access to assassin/shadow attacks with the single blade. The same goes for Marauder, we can wield 1 saber but we are at a disadvantage big time.

The Sage looks boring and stupid, I'd rather be a Shadow if I'm stuck being the Jedi Consular.

@TheGaborlein you mean the hooded robes the jedi shadow was wearing in this video? Out of my memory, they look really similar/identical to the 'Champion Stalker's Robe' that you can only get at lvl 50.

@Animefan1ize although remember that as a sage you dont have to wear retarded clothes :) sages are able to wear the same clothes as shadows. and if your character is wearing a retarded hat/helmet thingy theres an option in the preferences to make them not visible.

i would pick shadow, the sage outfits look retarded.
is it necessary for the consular shadow jedi to wield a double-bladed lightsaber or i can put him a simple lightsaber??

@loxos100 The majority of the Shadow's abilities rely on double-bladed sabers. :/
