From The Artist:
Come Back Home was written in the wake of me losing my longtime drummer and former Army soldier John C. Williams. But the song started off as a reflection of how a military couple deals with separation. After the release of Come Back Home, Johns little brother was killed by an IED in Iraq. His name was Blake Williams. His platoon used this track as the audio to a memorial slide show presentation they did in March of 2008. It was for all the courageous men and women they had lost in the month of
March. I am humbled by their service to our great country and I hope this song brings them some peace. My father served in Vietnam and I truly appreciate their dedication and bravery."

  • This song was a blessing to us all and I thank the Pat McGee Band for writing it, for playing it for us when we came back home seeing them live in concert at the Wolf Trap, and for putting together this video. I am so grateful. Even with the worst of memories, I miss and love my men and women of 1st Platoon. I wish I could've done more, and for that I live with regrets. I hope we can continue to move forward. Never forget, Always Remember! War Devil 1-6, 1LT Santiago, out!

  • This song made me cry. I miss my soldier so much. Thank you to everyone that is out there fighting!

  • Best freakin song! God bless our troops

  • @thehiddenxXx99 you would commission**** as a 2nd Lt.

  • @thehiddenxXx99

Yes, by doing NROTC Marine Option you would graduate as a 2nd Lt after graduation. The summer before your senior year you also go to OCS. That is something just for the Marines Options. If you are just navy then you go on a regular cruise, but no OCS.

  • @historyfreak09 NROTC Marine option would allow you to go into the marines as a lt or something right? im interested in joining and wanted to be a marine too.
