What is The Atheist Experience?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas geared at an atheist and non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin (ACA), a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

Isaiah describes the earth as a "CIRCLE", not a sphere! Isaiah probably believed that the earh was flat circle.

Four corners mean "North' "South" "East" "West". God sees the world in a whole these 40 men were inspired by God. A compound Greek word "Inspiration" means "God Breathed". God use the 40 men by speaking through them like a trumpet player blows breath into the instrument. Moses wasn't even alive when he wrote Genesis. God spoke through him. That's why we have it now.

@HobbsO, you say the Hebrew for circle is the same as sphere. Not quite! The primary meaning of the Hebrew word Isaiah uses there ("chuwg") means CIRCLE. There is a Hebrew word for BALL ("durwg") that Isaiah could have used if he had intended "sphere", and which he uses elsewhere in a different context (e.g. Isaiah 22:18).

In any case, Judeo-Christians don't have a convincing case to make that Isaiah proves divine inspiration if it's unclear what Isaiah had in mind. They have no case to argue.

@psandbergnz Unfortunately the Hebrew word for Circle is the same as Sphere AND this book pre-dates Greek science by at least 200 years. Not saying I believe it I'm just saying it gives Christians every excuse to say it says Sphere when it obviously doesn't shown by other passages.

1. In China, for sure, they had a state religion. Not religion as in Catholicism, Judaism, Islam etc. Just a religion based on the state.

2. And ordaining upon other people that they cannot worship what they want to worship is any better? C'mon, non-Christians have been constantly killed throughout history.

3. The Spaniards forced the Aztecs to convert under pain of death. Some of them were goaded into Catholicism (bribes etc.) but many were killed.
