House Republicans Introduce the American Energy Act

The House Republican American Energy Solutions Group, led by Rep. Mike Pence (R-IA), introduces the American Energy Act.

Four main objectives of the American Energy Act:

•Increase production of American-made energy in an environmentally-sound manner.

•Promote new, clean and renewable sources of energy such as nuclear, clean-coal-technology, wind and solar energy.

•Encourage greater efficiency and conservation by extending tax incentives for energy efficiency and rewarding development of greater conservation techniques and new energy sources.

•Cut red-tape and reduce frivolous litigation.

If we tapped every new domestic source of oil in the US it would account for less than 5% of consumption, and we wouldn't see the full 5% for 15 years.

Excellent plan, very well thought-out, logical and coherent solution to our energy problems. Republicans did an excellent job in the recent past in informing Americans about the concerns of America relying on foreign countries for our oil supply. Their actions led to falling oil prices. The Democrats need to be forced to work with Republicans for an effective and beneficial plan to our energy problems. Democrats' radical, socialist plan would be a disaster for our country!
