The House Republican American Energy Solutions Group, led by Rep. Mike Pence (R-IA), introduces the American Energy Act.

Four main objectives of the American Energy Act:

•Increase production of American-made energy in an environmentally-sound manner.

•Promote new, clean and renewable sources of energy such as nuclear, clean-coal-technology, wind and solar energy.

•Encourage greater efficiency and conservation by extending tax incentives for energy efficiency and rewarding development of greater conservation techniques and new energy sources.

•Cut red-tape and reduce frivolous litigation.

  • So whether it is 5 years 3yrs, 10 yrs or 15 as you stated, the longer we wait the longer we will push out the time frame of when it will help us. So I guess we should start ASAP or we will just keep talking crap and fantasy. Why is this so hard to see that we should be doing all of the above not just one approach and maybe we can be responsible to the envirnonment for those tree huggers at the same time. Instead all we get from our current gov. is more restrictions and bigger debt.

  • Even though you were incredibly vial and disrespectful to me on your reply, I want to apologize, not to you but to others on this post, I shouldn't have used the word "retard' I have an autistic nephew and I should have known better. Now, you want to talk about being a leader? Name one instance when your god Obama has been a leader of anything. John Boehner owned a successful business, has played a major role in passing important legislation and has served as minority and majority leader.

  • If we tapped every new domestic source of oil in the US it would account for less than 5% of consumption, and we wouldn't see the full 5% for 15 years.

This drill baby drill approach reminds me of High School, the dumb ass jocks saying drill baby drill and the nerds who actually study seeing the facts and saying this won't help us.

You guys following this ideology are just plain stupid and wrong.

Just because you say it over and over doesn't make it true!

  • remember cncerning Windpower and Solar:

-during the night the sun is not shining

-mostly the wind is not blowing in a suitable speed for converters (in average only 20%)

-one cant current electricity take on stock nor produce ahead

    Thats it!

  • You're full of crap, Retard! You have no idea what the hell you're talking about! You must be drunk or on drugs or both! Get lost, you loser Obama lover and wallow in your lousy left-wing socialism!

  • Only ignorants would want to poison the world for a quarter million years for the sake of a few years of nuclear power.

  • CENSORSHIP on this channel? Gee that wouldn't be very AMERICAN, would it Mister Boner?

  • Excellent plan, very well thought-out, logical and coherent solution to our energy problems. Republicans did an excellent job in the recent past in informing Americans about the concerns of America relying on foreign countries for our oil supply. Their actions led to falling oil prices. The Democrats need to be forced to work with Republicans for an effective and beneficial plan to our energy problems. Democrats' radical, socialist plan would be a disaster for our country!

  • Why would Obama want to make America a better place.?? (sarcasm)

  • Boone Pickens Natural GAS ACT !!
