I worked with this filly since the first hour of her life. She has turned out to be an amazing filly! I can't wait till next year when we can really start riding her! She has an egg butt bit now, I only used a shank because she was leaving-the trainer was picking her up way earlier than planned.

  • Wow she is big. How many hands is she and what brred

  • @irishmo87 At that time our guess was 14.2, now she's well over 15 creeping towards 16 hands. She will be 4 this year.

  • okay, this is amazing! :) she looks like a fantastic horse and didn't look like she even thought about bucking. amazing

  • @epicmonsterbunniez Yeah she was amazing! I don't think she thought about it either. After the video I lead her around with my sister on her and she didn't care one bit. You would have thought she was an old timer!

  • i had a moment like that... the pride you feel is immesurable.

except the pony i speak of had been to training; nobody could tell me how much so i just jumped on her bareback with a halter. she reacted about the same :)

    great job with her!

  • @TheTearsOfOurEnemies Thank you very much! You do feel really proud and on top of the world when you do something like that. My first mare, who is now 23 years old was about the same. She was terrified to even have the saddle put on her back so I doubt she had much training.

  • Excellent. :) This is proof that the first ride doesn't have to be a rodeo. Excellent job! How's she turning out so far?

  • Yeeehaaaw! Turn and Burn!!! ;-) Good job

  • She looks like she took the first right well, very good! :)

  • @bonnet7 haha :)

  • @Shaz1713 I did everything I could on the ground before I got on her. I walked her through creeks, over teeter totters, ramps, tarps, everything! If you can get them to trust you enough that they will do just about anything you ask them to it shouldn't be a horrible experience to break them. She was definitely nervous and looking for a lot of reassurance from me. I train horses just like you would a dog, they enjoy being praised and you making a big deal when they do something right.

  • @fonjadidi Lol, trust me, I was thinking that the whole time!
