well, to quote the documentry film "This was for your aunt mable to entertain her houseguests", the MelloTron was never intended for Studio work, but alas it was destined to be the such a great advasary in Rock history.

@Martianfan Yes, And Mike Pinder had all of the rhythm and fill tracks in the left keyboard taken out and had them replaced with additional sounds like in the right keyboard.

Mike Pinder came over and used this Mellotron when he did interviews for the Isle of Wight DVD release of Moody Blues. It was amazing to hear him play...

But the limited band width adds that certain something; like an old movie soundtrack, kind of welling up from the past - sort of ghostly and well distinctive beyond description; perhaps a sound which is rooted in memory - a past musical experience being recalled and emotions re-visited; alright, psycho-analysis over!! Great vids, thank you!
