I learned of this incredible lady today through a PIano Jazz session CD with Donald Fagen and Walter Baker, recorded in 2005. What an immense talent, both as player and interviewer!

it's amazing how she can still play so well in her 90s :')

I've always wanted to learn how to play piano, and when I first hear Piano Jazz on public radio, I was hooked. Loved Marian and her voice, her guests, all of it - when I hear the tinkling of her show theme, I get excited to hear another great show. Went to hear her perform with a friend - LOVED IT! Rock on, Marian - you are suck an inspiration to any music lover, young AND old!

grew up listening to her music, and, later on, her show on public radio. her music interviews opened a whole new world of sound, people ideas and art. always looked forward to hearing her. She is truly a great lady. I love her music and her voice!

Thanks for the post, I've listened to her wonderful playing and her show so many times and heard her interview so many great artists but I never knew much about her life. It was so great to hear her tell "her" story.
I'm addicted to Marian's voicings and harmonies. I'm so grateful to Marian for making so many great recordings that I can enjoy throughout my life.
