Jeanne d'Arc tribute - Viva la Vida violin

Only watch this vid when you are not in a hurry, but when you are relaxed, sensitive or even feel a bit depressed. Only THEN will you get the real, meant feeling of the vid. A tribute to the Maid of Orléans. (Jeanne d'Arc / Joan of Arc) I think the violin cover of Coldplay's Viva la Vida (performed here by: ew1282) really fits with her story. The video starts with a picture slideshow in order with her life. At the end you see a part of the movie 'Jeanne d'Arc' by Luc Besson.

-Why I made this?-

Well, even though I'm far from Catholic, Jeanne and her story make me feel a lot of things. I admire her, for it takes a lot of will and courage to do what she did. She somehow inspires me, in the way that, even when things seem impossible or totally lost, will and faith can turn things around. And her story is one of the few things that really makes me sad everytime when I hear it. I have much respect for her, even though I don't really know how she must have felt and don't know much about her (in person). It is extremely hard to explain how I feel about her and her life. She did the IMPOSSIBLE. She was just a girl. An ordinary girl who changed history. Who lifted a fallen country back to its feet. Who, in the darkest hour, gave people hope, faith and courage. And even though it doesn't mean anything to me personally since I'm no Catholic, who became a saint. She is Jeanne d'Arc, La Pucelle d'Orléans.

I feel the same way about joan of arc. She's one of my role models. I think there's always something to admire about her, catholic or not. I'm not catholic and still admire her.

Joan of Arc is defiantly one of the greatest heroes in the history. She's the perfect example of selflessness and courage that anyone can look up to, and thus she has my salute.
