MBTA Commuter Rail

[Boston, MA]

During my trip to the east coast, I ran across different railroads from the west coast. One of these railroads was the MBTA (Massachusettes Bay Transportation Authority). I don't know very much about this mass transit system, except that the color scheme is not very attractive and it's the fifth-busiest commuter rail in the country, appearently. Comments with more information would be nice :P

This train was leaving Boston's North Station with MBTA 1711 (Kawasaki CTC--4) leading and MBTA 1030 (MK F40PHM--2C) trailing on track 5.

This is Back Bay. Back Bay has Track 5 and still has lowered platforms.

Actually, the train was not leaving North Station. That is somewhere on the southern lines. North Station is at the TD Bank Boston Garden Arena.
