lost bookmarks and bookmarks not working in Firefox, may well be a compatibility problem with Windows 7. I fixed this by right clicking on Firefox properties--compatibility tab--put check mark in run this program in compatibility---open the drop down and select Windows 7--close and restart Firefox a your bookmarks should be there and work like always, worked for me.
