And you think well. I think here, in Romania are many who think like you, but... I'm afraid our entire Synod is corrupted. For this cases, and here are many...i chose to stay more with those from the old calendar. Here in Romania, they are not part of our Patriarchate...

Of course, most of the bishops disagree with me, because most of them were too collaborators of the Securitate! At the same time many simple clergymen and laymen suffered for their Christian faith.
I am not unkind towards Mr Corneanu, I just see the evidence: During all his life he has been an opportunist wearing the mask of the "Orthodox bishop". I wish he were more honest, even now at the end of his earthly life. He should repent for the scandal he has been causing by retiring.

Ah, some errors in this text. It should read: "Again: Why so unkind to an old man who was honest enough to tell the truth about himself already in 1990? Furthermore, his fine colleague bishops and metropolitans, who acted as if nothing had happened before 1990, seem to disagree with you."

He is not a "moderate church figure", he's just an opportunist clergyman without concsience. He would be much more honest if he became directly Roman Catholic.
If he had a conscience, he would have not been a bishop-agent of the Securitate, while other clergymen or pious laymen were persecuted for their faith. Shame on him!

Corneanu is just a cheap opportunist and not worthy to serve as an Orthodox bishop! He should be defroked.
