I hope the situation changes, however it is easier to build a score of temples than to change the heart of a single person if all their will is bent on their view.

I'm a jew from israel, and I've never heard about this plan to demolish holy places from muslims, if it is true, then ofcours it is wrong.

In my view, Jerusalem should be declerd a international zone, were no contry can ever rule. and that there must be a international security force there to keep the peace and protect the city. well that's in a perfect world =)

This solution seems to be best, though sadly many people of both fractions do not settle for less then completely conquered by there side.

@ghalib1779, I know exactly which parts of the ben gurion "saying" is ture and false... i also know the historical context.

And yes, many many people beautify the Islamic treatment of Jews.

The Mashhad Jews, the Yathrib Jews, the Tihamah Jews, the Acre Jews, the Hebron Jews... Jews were not as welcomed as some people claim.

no offense, but chaos in philippines and any other place muslims claim "historical rights" has nothing to do with jerusalem. (and please don't beutify how muslims treated jews under islamic rule)

Personally I find it madness the way religious people of the 3 faiths are fighting over a single city. Your solution does make sense though. For the sake of some amount of peace the city should be an independent city like the Vatican. Although I dont thing this will bring 100% peace, but it will be a trust building step forward.

gargamel, thats quite a generous attitude considering whos got control of Jerusalem these days. the problem is trust. where does it start? With thee and me I suppose, as disheartening as it may seem. or is it disheartening?
