An exciting time in the history of offshore radio. I do believe that the previous year, I was the only one to tape the attempted takeover.

@shillyfrog Certainly RNI had their fair share of problems. I have the first 45 minutes of the attempted boarding if you're interested. I will upload it if you want. I have got Nearly 2gb off offshore stuff which I would love to put on here eventually, its just finding time to do it. If you can remember a certain item from a perticular station let me know because I might well have it

I remember the fire too! We had quite a good reception up North and I heard it all!I was shocked to discover R.Veronica was involved!No matter what you think of your rivals you cannot "take the law into your own hands". Other nearby stations did not behave this way!

I remember the fire (Am I really that old)!

Used to listen to the station (When I could hear it!) under the blankets with a tiny transistor radio, sometimes I had to wait a few minutes before I heard a signal again :O

Brings back memories of my misspent childhood :p
