You can see that Bert and Dorothy were great friends (all their lives, I understand). I think they really did adore each other, and it shows in all their films.

I've just recently discovered the great Wheeler and Woolsey (thanks to YouTube) and I've fallen head over heels in love with Dorothy Lee (as who wouldn't?) Rio Rita is one of the movies I haven't seen yet but this number is absolutely captivating! I must say that the musicals of the late 20s and early 30s enchant me like those of no other era. I can't begin to think why, there is just a magical quality to them. Thank you so much for this!

What an uplifting scene...love the extra lyrics you normally don't hear....'bees need the flowers....' on other recordings....Just awesome! Hope the movie gets restored with all it's glory one day... :)

I have the Ben Pollack of this on Victor. Always liked this song. Itdoes appear that Bert Wheeler has a thing for Dorothy Lee. Who wouldn't? She's really cute and perky - lotsa energy and is having fun.
