I'll never forget when my sister in law took my 4 year old niece to have a perm!!! 4 years old having chemicals on her delicate hair and scalp. I was really upset and had to meddle and what did I hear? " You don't know what is like, you have a "good" hair". Ok, my hair is not afro but is not straight either and very difficult to take care, but my mom had all the patience in the world to care of it.

They should make a video with the mothers saying that they love their kids hair as well.

This is great and it's about time! The sad truth, though, is that if MOTHERS don't embrace a love for natural hair, then they can't pass on that love to their girls. Girls this age don't have much say in whether or not they keep their own texture.
