  • To TheParty- You're entitled to your opinion. But, you're no one to run people out of this Great Country, because they disagree with you. That's why America is the land of the FREE. Freedom of speech and ideas is one of those freedoms!

  • Looks like to me "opposition parties are allowed in Egypt." According to wikipedia and other sources, If they just suck too badly to get elected that's not my problem. Jordan is a Constitutional Monarchy, like England for pete's sake. the King isn't absolute although has more power when his party is in control. Although you could vote him out but the only opposition is just more extreme Muslims, great replacement eh? lol you call Iran's "elections" anything serious at this point?

  • I also don't see how Egypt and Jordan's systems are more moderate than Iran's when in Iran they can at least vote for President.

  • Actually, the systems you described are the same Cuba's. The members of Cuba's General Assembly are also elected by Cubans. Egypt and Jordan, like Cuba, don't allow plural parties either. Sorry bud, there's something in your town called a library, I suggest you go use it sometime.

  • Jordan has an elected Parliament and Mubarak keeps Egypt moderate and stable and also has an elected Parliament under him. We've got to move in steps over there. Cuba is a different story, 50 years of pure Communism without the slightest hint of democracy. At least the other nations will work with us and move in the direction of freedom. And if wanting more people to be free makes me a Fascist then so be it.

  • And yes, demanding I leave the country because I disagree with a specific political line is very much in the fascist tradition.

  • I'm not defending the Cuban system at all. I'm pointing out that these hypocrites condemn countries like Cuba and Iran while supporting countries Egypt and Jordan which also have no democracy at all. In Egypt you go to jail for criticizing Mubarak in public (who has ruled Egypt for 20+ years) and Jordan has an unelected monarch ruling the place.

  • lmao you stand up for Cuba and its ilk but moderate muslims like Jordan and the Egyptians are wackos and I'm the Fascist with the low IQ....

  • guys like pence are the reason we get involved in wars that we shouldn't. dress it up in all the talk of liberty, tradition and justice you want, but our government's job should be limited to trading with and defending us from (insert country's name here) should the need arise.

  • Also, where is Pence demanding support for democracy when Obama was smiling and hugging the brutal dictators of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt?
