  • yea she dances even when she plays sitting down, she's a mover.

  • I just discovered Anaïs' work recently and I'm already a huge fan. You have to be good to make a folk Opera about greek mythology and make it sound beautiful, touching and original. Anaïs, you are awesome!

    Thanks for uploading ^_^

  • @signupindividual mmhmm, and most women too. Or at least, in my experience.

I think we all go through those times as we grow, where our 'faith' or 'hope' in humanity, love, creativity, you name it, is tested, and we have to struggle to hold on to it.

  • @signupindividual okay, but that was then.

  • I think if you tied Anais Mitchell's ankles together, she would not be able to sing. Or play the guitar, apparently.

This is a lovely song and very moving. Most men of any maturity have made a journey similar to the Quest of Orpheus in the Underworld, and we have experienced the same loss and failure. It's nice to have a sense of being appreciated for one's efforts, as Eurydice appreciated Orpheus.
