i agree with the ken burns comment, because....instead of the documentary just stopping at what "it" (i.e.-wynton marsalis considers to be 'true jazz'), the series just glazed over many of the second half of the century's great artists, or merely discluded them all together... Why tho??? is it intended to make one believe that jazz died in the mid-60's (when miles went electric and many others were playing free? and that Wynton's arrival saved jazz from the dark ages? "The messiah returns!" wtf

I don't share the same attitude about the Ken Burns documentary. The series helped me to understand a lot of things about jazz that I never embraced. However, I do understand the sentiment about wanting to avoid treating jazz as a museum piece.

Cool, Henry produced his albums. Guess Mr. Rollins has more talent than I thought. I say that because those who hate him think he only screams. You gotta feel real music like this. Love jazz too.

Ken Burns is not crap.You are.You're an egotistical loser who can't play the piano. You bang the piano randomly like a retarded child.How can you dis Herbie Hancock??? He was better than you ever wil be when he was only 5 years old. I can't believe i'm wasting my time writing this....
