How to record from your game console

First off because I think most of you don't get this. I have a dvd recorder not a player. It is capable of recording the xbox, ps3 and wii onto a dvd. Now if you don't have a recorder you are shit out of luck, because you would not be asking me how to do this. Most dvd players have just an output and no inputs. I"ve decided that i have come up with enough questions that need to be answered that i will make another video addressing them. I will update my info so i can clear up the confusion.

I use my sony rdr-vx500 dvd recorder to record gameplay to a dvd and then drop and drag to your pc

I got everything to work as you said except for the importing of video data for editing. For some reason, my iMovie program won't accept the recording. Maybe I need to use a different program?

@bobynoxr you have to find a program that rips VOB files off the dvd. i don't have a mac so i don't know if it has a program that will do that. if you search the interent you may find a program that can.

My dvd PLAYER has 2 inputs so can i record gameplay with it??

I have a problem. I insert a DVD+R and my dvd recorder ( a Sony RDR-HX710 ), after recording, says "Info Write", but if I insert the dvd+r, after recording it all, in the computer, the computer says "drag files into the blá blá blá", So the dvd says that it records, but there are no files! HELP!!
