Again I attempt remix of a fellow youtuber Mary Win. This time Ive gone more for a instrumental based remix with a few vocal stabs here and there.

Trying a different approach than my previous remix of her song. It seems people like to see my experiements more than my normal arrangements hence this one.

I had always liked the sound of the pizzicato string especially used in the trance/dance world, Red 5, Sash!, Dj Quicksilver, even Jean Michel Jarre to name a few.

Not to mention its classical origins of being the plucked Violin/viola.

As far as the arrangement goes I guessed the chords and based a repetative riff aroud those chords. Next comes the arranging of the original fitting in with the remix. In true SKB style this means pitch shift of some parts to create the desired effect.

Look out for notices about forthcoming ideas, also a very big thanx to Mary Win for allowing use of your songs and videos.

I hope you enjoy this video. : )

  • haha It's a happy tune, I think and the video is amusing.

  • @tsjoencinema thank you, a bit of an experiement. I belive i made the video soon after seeing a concert where they had visuals and firework type things. It helped the music flow. So i found a few random clips from my stock collection and other images, videos. I never know the outcome when i start something I have a rough idea. But they kind of make themselves.

  • AWESOME! I love it!! !

  • Hey there :-)

I'm sorry that it's been a while, and I'm afraid that this comment will fall into the category of 'Indifferent.'

Unfortunately, nothing about the video or the music really grabbed me, although I did find the 'Hypnotic' colours quite amusing.

From my perspective, there wasn't a unifying direction, flow, emotion or message. It didn't 'move' me, so did I miss something? What was the creative vision behind this remix?

  • Hello Simon, such a sweet remix! Love the use of hypnotic colors and stacked harmonies. Your Pizzicato rendition has my *thumbs up*. The fireworks bursting in the trees are very mesmerizing. Warm regards and thank you so much. Mary
