Artist: Faiza Mujahid
Song: Meri Zindagi
Language: Urdu
Country of origin: Pakistan
Faiza Mujahid:
Faiza Mujahid's point of departure was the remarkably hummable and contagious tune "Bandeya Ho". A joint effort by her and Khawar Jawad, for the Shoaib Mansoor film "Khuda Kay Liye," propelled her into a singing sensation overnight.
Not only has she sung the vocals for this song but produced the composition as well. Her passion for music is not limited to vocal conditioning but a knack for creating compositions and writing her own lyrics -- as is the case for most of her songs.
Although "Bandeya Ho" marked a seminal point in her career, much controversy followed the release of "Khuda Kay Liye" and Faiza and Khawar parted ways to maintain individual careers as each believed in a different school of musical thought. Faiza's spirited step to maintain an independent presence in the music scene was continually tested for the next year or so whilst she decided to focus on her education and job. Realizing an important truth that there is no room for dilettantes in this business, she decided to brace herself for a career that whole heartedly acknowledged eating, sleeping, breathing music.
Having decided to keep a low profile, Faiza started working at FM 91 as a programming producer from 2009 onwards and maintained her contact with the world of music. It was especially during this period, that a burgeoning need to make music again became her sole priority.
"I realized how much I miss making my music. I was going through a rough patch as everyone does in there 20's about making important decisions and discovering where they stand in life"
Faiza's stress was to break boundaries as a female artist; hailing from a largely conservative society where a career in music is akin to a life of self-absorption debauchery ( although possibly true in the case of most music artists..). She had decided to become a model for women, young girls and the masses in general to fight for their dignity and social standing in society.
"I know how to move on and just not sit at home and cry for help or ask God WHY ME?"
Clearly, the subservient role of the woman as a housewife by the age of 19 was not a path she was willing to delve into. For the larger part, her new upcoming song "Meri Zindagi" was a result of enduring personal hardships, rebelling against the norm, and maturing as a strong willed individual who she hopes can inspire others to follow suit.
The coming-of-age song is a triumph for Faiza and speculates a vision where more women make independent initiatives to take reign of their lives. It is a song and an attitude that she has adopted not merely for what some may feel is a feminist-driven agenda, but an anthem for the vulnerable, exposed, and unprotected rise to the occasion.

So just shut up and discuss these things on some Political forum and dont ruin the environment here.
