Yeah, but two wrongs don't make a right. Cyclists are the reason the 4x4 is overtaking, but poor judgement on when to do it is by far the biggest crime on this video.

I'm not saying the 4X4 driver wasn't in the wrong, but ultimately if your mate had been taking a better line around the right hand bend instead of riding in the 'decapitation zone' he'd have seen the hazard much quicker and had to do far less compensating. Right or wrong, doesn't matter when you're plastered allover the front of someone's car.

I'm not preaching either, I've just been run over enough to know the benefits of defensive riding.

I was the lead bike, yes my road position was bad, but im sure you are all perfect all the time !!!!!!! more to the point why would a 4X4 with trailor overtake on a blind bend 2 cyclists on the wrong side of the road !!!!!!

Had a few of those myself. I remember a bus overtaking a horse on a blind bend and having to squeeze through. I also remember a car overtaking a parked artic on a blind bend....couldn't squeeze through this time though as I was in the car.....bang. There's a knob round every corner.

I agree with most of the comments above. 4x4 driver in the wrong for overtaking on a blind bend, and not having the patients to wait a few seconds. Cyclists in the wrong for riding 2 abrest. Bloody good rider to rescue position like that, but totally wrong position for defensive riding. Just lucky on th day eh!

Regardless of the cyclists (who weren't to blame even though they were two abreast) & the stupid overtake on the approach to a bend from the jeep driver, it is the rider who pays the price by failing to anticipate what lies around the bend, travelling too fast for the sight distance & sacrificing a line of safety for a racing one.

+1 for those fucking 2 abredth cyclists being morons - I've seen those inconsiderate arseholes nearly causing accidents b4. Ultimately bad driving on the jeeps part. I think bike positioning wasn't great, but you can't blame the biker for the whole situation (y).
