  • Because you shouldn't be held back by technical ability when writing songs. If you can do every technique, then you are not restricted to writing melodies with only few techniques.

  • he's using E harmonic minor

  • Freakin' nice!

  • Try economy picking, better than alternating if your not staying on one string.

  • ooooohhh, that makes more sense. thank you =D

  • once again, thats awesome. i looked up the D minor Scale, but it looks diferent from what you are playing.the one i found sounds cool, but yours blows me away

  • Yeah, you're right; but still technique is necessary if you want to express yourself fully. But yeah people do tend to focus more on technique in music which is just stupid.

  • holy hell! there wasnt a part of that i didnt like! it was awesome! what scale is that? i want to learn that! thanks man =D

  • work on keeping ur picking hand with ur other hand kinda sloppy

  • I agree with you buddy. I'm just now learning more advanced techniques. But I use them sparingly.

  • That's right.. But this way you're unconsciously forced to add techinque to every solo, riff and so on.. Most of the times, it takes just a few notes to create such a good song..

The songs which have made the history of music are the simple ones, I think...

Finally, there are sooooooo many fast guitar players, but the ones who create good music without making use of technique are soooo few.. PS sorry for my English..I'm Italian..
