The story of the twenty seven year old Alex Kimani Mwaura, shot in cold blood hours on the eve of his wedding day has raised concerns over the security and safety of Kenyans. another twenty seven year old Kenneth Njoroge was shot and killed by another gang last month just months before he was to marry his fiancee who survived a carjacking drama in the city's Langata area. Can this murderous rage be stopped? KTN's Dennis Onsarigo with some perspectives

  • Why love the trigger to end the life of young kenyans.Too painful and the Govt should boost security but for graft.

  • Some lame comments here!!

  • Almost every person in Kenya is threatened by this, it is now worse than Aids, everyone rich and poor live in fear, Ask anybody living in cities, if not themselves, they atleast personally know a victim of serious crime, in many cases members of immediate family. the society is broken down due to many reasons shifting the balance. infact almost every comment here is true, think also about overpopulation. watu kuzaa sana without enough resources to sustain everyone. among all other reasons.

  • @suensmith I feel like you. I now live in US. fast I lived in Britain, after my Visa was due to expire, I went back to Kenya on 29-dec-06, 10 days on Arrival, a mat I was travelling in got car-jacked, it was horror, on my way to thika around 6pm, thanks I left with my life. I regretted having returned knowing very well all my friends in UK tried to convince me to stay but I said I did not want to be Ilegal. Thankfully, the same year in Kenya I applied for a greencard and worn to come to US.

  • How cops respond to situations matters a lot. Swift and prompt reaction will deter hijackers, not reshuffles n recycling of incompetence..

  • @suensmith police r involved in ths cases

  • @suensmith got a friend who got deported samtyme back, he was sayin that hez life is over.akifika nyumbani wa2 wa kiambu watamuua akijua hez from the states

  • @suensmith: The main problem is the excessively high unemployment rates. To rub salt into injury, the high levels of corruption make desperate poor men believe they are justifed to rob the "rich thieves" who help make their lives miserable. Reshuffling and new blood in the police force will not undo the scourge of inequality in the society.
