The roundabout is big enough for both cars to fit in there. We both stopped on the roundabout at the same time - surely he would see my car? Nope, he just drives across to my lane. I honked at him just before he hit my car and he moved back to his lwn lane very quickly.

What is it with lazy roundabout drvers who can't seems to stay in their own lane? How hard can it be?

  • Not even that close. But then you didn't approve my video response to show you what close really is!!

  • @JohnnyCmr2 But it was close enough to force me to stop my car before hitting his car. I didn't get an e-mail about your video response, so will have a look for it. Thanks for letting me know.

  • Ye he shouldn't have done that but its also up to you to pay attention. We've all done it, even you i bet. And its not lazy he just got confused.....

  • @andig4 Yeah, and I did pay attention... which is why I braked very quickly before he hit me! As soon as I blasted the horn at him, he moved back to his own lane.

  • I usually finds a blast on the horn awakens these daydreamers, followed by a look of utter disgust for daring to wake them. Although it usually tends to be people trying to straight line the roundabout with me.

  • Yikes. You can get a good GPS dashcam at GPSskytracker dotcom.

  • @mostdom Indeed. 0:14 is where we both slowed down to allow the car to pass, so he should have used the usual mirror check before moving off. But he didn't, just being lazy. Anyway, glad this is now resolved-ish for now. :D

  • @t1sutton Ok, I'll take that back, the man's a numpty. Wasn't sure about the approach but couldn't see anything on the roundabout itself. However he is still ahead, so as always proceed with caution.

  • Here in the US we don’t have that many, so people aren’t used to them, which makes it worse because many are not sure how to use them properly. They either blast in to one or they stop and wait until someone lets them go, or a big enough space comes by.

  • @t1sutton Where I live in Romford, Essex, there is a 3 lane roundabout called 'Gallows Corner'... and you certainly would want to hang some of the drivers! It's not like other 3 lane roundabouts though, it's quite mental and scares the pants of loads of drivers new to it! lol Check it out on Google Maps, you'll see how barmy it is. Being in the wrong lane, cutting up other drivers, and simply not indicating are all everyday occurrences there.
