Is the little 59 very similar to the SH-1? but in a single coil of course and does it still sound like a strat?

Never tried or heard the SH-1, so I can`t comment on that. I can however say this: altough the L59 make a great and fat tone, you loose some of that stratty single coil sound IMO. For that reason I`m thinking of buying a set of DeMarzio Aera or Lollar PAF pickups. I realise I`m a very concervative person when it comes to guitars. I want a strat to sound like a strat, a tele to sound as a tele, and so on......We`ll see what happens.
