This is one of the truly fantastic song visulaization from the TV series Millennium by Christ Carter of the X- Files Episode: Sound of Snow from Season Three. The song visualization qualifies for the great moments. The song is "Dark End of the Street" by James Carr.
The scenes here starts when Serial Criminal Profiler Frank Black (who then investigating audio induced hallucinations - deaths ) listens to an audio cassette recording of The Dark End of the Street whilst he drives through Ezekiel Drive, where his yellow painted house in which once he shared with his dear family - his wife Catherine and daughter Jordan. After the death of Catherine, it seems Frank was never been this side of the town and this is the first time in Ezekiel Drive after a long time.
He stops on the other side of the road from the 'Yellow House'. There, he came out of the car and walks over and stand at the gate.
Its his family's Yellow House once again!!...And to his surprise he sees Catherine coming out of the door, walks down the steps and along the path to the gate, and slowly walks past Frank and away, their shoulders almost touched. A dreamy great moment punctured by the new owner's voice and Frank introduces himself, and after brief pleasantries he hands Frank all the mail still directed to the old address. When the owner returns to the home, the vision - hallucination resumes, as Frank sees Catherine standing in the veranda. Frank is clearly mystified yet undecided, as the beautiful song fades away.
Totally great performance by Lance Henriksen, he made Frank Black truly alive...
If you know Millennium series plot and familar with the characters you will also know that the song is no longer a "cheating" song but now it's a beautiful love song...almost a celestial and touching love song...
The James Carr song is also sung by Frank Black, not the character you see here (Lance Henriksen) but the American singer which you can find the song in You Tube.
P.S. You will also find some slight difference here like the profound guitar strings...
P.S. 2 See how Frank Black reacts to the hallucination/vision especially at the end of the clip :)

  • the best show ever. period.

  • Absolutely :)

  • This was and is one of the only TV shows I have ever been fully immersed in. What a great show!! My husband and I never missed it, he is a fellow TV hater too! Frank was so intense. The concept was so intense.

  • It's one of the most brilliant shows ever, people think Chris Carter as the creator of X - Files, I accolade him as the creator of Millennium. It truly tried to walk a path the usual TV shows not dare to tread...Thanks for the comment :)

  • I loved this show. It was ahead of it's time, for sure. I hope the Movie gets done soon enough.

  • Absolutely, no other shows even come closer to it's intellectual and original base. Thanks for the comment :)

  • That "Lucy Butler" character was a trip! I felt like jumping in and strangling that woman more than once! I just had to get that off my chest.HaHa! After all these years. Thanks again.

  • @AllAboutAlberta I agree with you on this.

  • This show held a lot of significance for me for some reason. Episode woke up some personal feelings or thoughts that there was something I needed to "get back to" or "complete".Very difficult to explain.Thank you.I deeply miss it,Frank and the cast made it so special to me.

  • "Don't know how did you live with the yellow". I want to *strangle* that guy for saying that to Frank. So painful... The yellow house is the icon of everything that meant happiness in Frank's life. Excellent line in that script, though.

Thank you for uploading this :)

  • CHRIST Carter? Not that close :)

  • @sunshinedaydream1954 yeah absolutely.....recently turned on to it by family member...big X-Files fan....this is much better....can't help wondering that it went over the line a bit, "Forcing it's End" LOL

  • Please Join the Back To Frank Black Campaign we deserve a MillenniuM movie!

  • Emotive scene. Remember I feel sad when i´ve noticed that Catherine died and she leave Frank alone against all. The best serial ever. Really.
