Back on the air after a long break - I finally had to break down and take vacation time so I could get this project moving again. The first guitar is ready to spray, and I'm just sealing and pore filling the second. I'll be spraying as soon as the sealer and pore filler cures up, then leave them hang for around four weeks prior to buffing. Hope everyone is doing well out there! Happy guitar building.

  • I am sanding my guitar, what kind of varnish or oil did you use?

  • @nuyts123 I used Watco Danish Oil - Natural. Easy to apply, just make sure to rub it out good, repeatedly, avoiding any oil to bubble up and dry. If that happens, apply a small amount and rub out that area. Make sure to let this dry for at least 2-3 days prior to final finish spray as it is oil based. I've tried water based sealers and my experience has shown they do not enhance the depth of the wood (grain, ray flecks, fiddleback) as well as this product. Best of luck!
