Pirates of the Road: aka The Jewish Calendar

The Jewish calender is based on the Solar and numbers 12 months in total (13 in a leap year). In this video I tell you a story to help you memorize them in the correct order.

They were pirates of the road and sailed around in a big Nissan. The spoke in slang, often saying words like Iyar! The men on the team numbered Sivan and the leader was a Persian woman called Tamuz. She told the others what they could and could not Av. Without her the operations would have been Ellul the way through. On the front of their lorry was mounted a laser, the Tishrei. Well it wasnt really a lorry but more of a Chesh-van .The leader fancied one of the crew, his name was Lev and she really wanted to Kislev. They once robbed a restaurant where Tev-et all the burgers and Shev-at all the fries. To avoid capture they used a cheap radar called an Adar. Every three years they would use a second radar called the Adar Sheni.
