Career :
Early years
Tiësto was the first experience in the music world at age 16, when he is asked to perform at a drive-in in his area, a well known club in his hometown. Here he perfected his blend of house beats and bass-heavy grooves, developing a completely different sound from the melodies of most of the Dutch DJs of the time. Start a period from 1985 until 1993 where he becomes resident DJ Tiësto in many Dutch clubs. Soon the attention of a record company falls first upon him with that label, Tiesto produced his first mix CD series entitled Forbidden Paradise.

In the mid-nineties, began producing Trance music and two years later, in 1997, along with Arny Bink founded the record company Black Hole Recordings. Just the Black Hole Recordings Magik Muzik and will be the record companies that make popular in popular music Tiësto trance.

The success
Towards the end of the nineties Tiësto participated in the first ID & T Innercity party, and in 2000 played for 6 hours "Tiësto Solo". On 10 May 2003, performing in front of 25,000 people all'Arnhem's Gelredome. This is the first time a DJ, not a pop artist, performs in front of an audience so vast in a stadium. The event is recorded and released a DVD entitled Tiësto In Concert, which will get a DVD of gold.

The event brings Tiësto great popularity and is repeated the following year for two consecutive nights in October of 2004, registering over 70,000 tickets sold for the first night and 20,000 in the next stage in Belgium. Tiësto In Concert also keeps track of 10,000 people in Los Angeles. On 22 April 2006 in Jakarta record 30,000 spectators.

In 2002, Tiësto was named by the magazine DJ Magazine Best DJ in the world, names that will be repeated during the two following years. In 2004 he was chosen to play during the opening ceremony of the Athens Olympics in 2004, accompanying with her music arranged the parade of athletes at the console in front of an audience of over 70,000 people and the television audience around the world.

On April 29, 2006 he performed in front of over 250,000 people to the Museumplein in Amsterdam and in the same year he performed at Loveparade that with around 1.2 million people. In 2007 he performed in concert with the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Coachella Festival in the United States in front of 80,000 people.

The album Elements of Life, which the Netherlands has become a gold record on the same day of publication, was consecrated as the best selling electronic music albums of all time by U.S. magazine he was named best European DJ Billboard, while also achieving a Grammy Award nominations. For the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, in collaboration with Coca Cola, Tiësto has created a piece entitled Global Harmony, the soundtrack of the opening ceremony of the Olympics.

On 10 October 2008 Tiesto he married Stacey Blokzijl, a Dutch fashion model born in 1989. From which you are currently separated, said in an interview: "I have been married only with my music." It was not a joke.

On March 26, 2009 were made public the results of IDMA in 2009, which is the 24th edition of the International Dance Music Awards: Tiësto, present in the nominations of five categories, it has won 4: Best Global DJ (best dj in the world), Best Full Length DJ Mix (best compilation mixed sequence) due to its vol.7 ISOS), Best Podcast (best podcasts) with its Tiësto's Club Life and Best Solo Artist (best solo artist). He was also nominated as Best European DJ. Only Armin Van Buuren has been able to match him he won 4 categories.

Currently (2010) occupies the third annual ranking of "DJ Mag" behind Armin Van Buuren and David Guetta. In 2011 he collaborated with other artists such as Hardwell, for the realization of the Zero track 76, and Mark Knight for the realization of the song Beautiful World. On April 5, 2011 published the first volume of his radio show in a volume called "Tiesto Club Life: Volume One Las Vegas, which includes its four new tracks. The first with the name of Boys Will Be Boys, along with Angger Dimmas & Showtek "We Rock", the second as Steve Forte Rio with the collaboration of singer Ray Lindsay, the third is a remix of the Moon "Girls With Bangs" and fourth "Do not Ditch." L ' release of his new album Kiss From The Past will be released under the name Allure June 13. For all of 2011 will be resident DJ at the Joint in Las Vegas on June 6 and will begin her Resident in Ibiza. On July 16, 2011 will be the DJ at the Kursaal | Club (Kursaal | Beach) Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD)
