@ comments regarding what can it be used for.
If you make a big enough steam engine you can connect it to a car alternator whcih will charge a car battery.
you can then connect an invertor to the battery and run your TV laptop ect...
steam is the new black.

then go for it! learn physics, mechanical, chemical, electrical engineering! learn why it works and what is possible. then make us proud and come up with something that no body thought of! 16 is a perfect age to go beyond your class mates.
