Watch the trailer for the exhibition Afghanistan: Hidden Treasures from the National Museum, Kabul, on view at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco from Oct 24, 2008 through Jan 25, 2009. The exhibition was organized by the National Geographic Society and the National Gallery of Art in association with the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Trailer produced by Blue Bear Films for National Geographic Society.

  • Actually, this is a travelling art exhibition, which will be on view at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco from Oct 24, 2008 to Jan 25, 2009. However, there is also a 30 minute documentary which may be aired on your local PBS station.

  • Tillya tepe, Tillia tepe or Tillā tapa (Persian: طلا تپه) or (literally "Golden Hill" or "Golden Mound") is an archaeological site in northern Afghanistan near Sheberghan, surveyed in 1979 by a Soviet-Afghan mission of archaeologists led by Victor Sarianidi, a year before the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
