I pass this iconic sculpture of Oscar Peterson (Canadian jazz pianist) on the bus everyday on my way to work through Ottawa. I couldn't help but thinking each time I pass by... "What if Oscar Could Play Uke..." So, I wrote this ukulele song based on Schubert's The Trout (Die Forelle) in a swinging style. hehehe
Lyrics:
If Oscar could play uke
You'd be sure, he'd swing it all the time
If Oscar could play uke
it'd a sound a mighty fine

Be gone those 88 keys!
with four strings of swingeroo breeze

If Oscar could go wild
in fine ukulele style
In Ottawa and in Montreal
he would swing it with us all!

Recorded live with a PONO soprano ukulele with Martin strings.
