Funny Sounding Cockatiel!

This cockatiel is more than 20 years old. This could be why his voice is hoarse sometimes.
He likes to see his reflection in things like brass light switch plates, so one has been hung from a wire by his cage. This video is an example of how he reacts in front of it. Quite a variety of sounds from such a small bird. From mourning to screeching to singing his heart out!

I had a cockatiel same colour like yours, who was obsessed with green coloured beer bottles. He would stay with bottle & sing to it & nock in to it until he was hungry or thirsty and if you tried to take away the bottle he would viscously defend it as long as it takes.
