Eric Wednesday!
Today's a long, but important episode, as I go into what it takes to make an awesome demo reel. I'll go through so tips and tricks that I've picked up along the way, and then showcase the latest version of mine.
Tips:
1. Always put your best stuff at the beginning of your demo reel.
2. Make it no longer than 5 minutes.
3a. If you're going to put it on DVD (best idea!), consider creating a shorter introductory demo clip, that will play automatically at the insertion of the DVD into a player.
3b. That way you can have full versions of your films linked on the menu screen.
4. Create a "bibliography" for your demo reel. A piece of paper that you'd include with your resume, documenting what your role was in every project featured in your demo reel.

Mario Kart is no excuse! I've only played a half-hour since I got it... Which naturally makes me sad...
Good info, Eric. Any tips for people who don't know how to make their own demo reel?

I love the very end. Your demo reel looked pretty cool too, but some of them I would have liked to have seen more.

LOL. "Dude a fish!! Cool!" Your reel was interesting. I wish I had a better idea of what you did for those clips but it was cool nonetheless.
