Flaxseeds/linseeds are a better alternative. They have also been shown in research to lower the risk of breast cancer.
Flaxseed lignans (phytoestrogens) interact with oestrogen receptors. This is thought to be partly how they modify breast cancer risk.
Flaxseeds are high in the lignan SDG, this is an antioxidant. It may contribute to the anticancer effect of flaxseeds.
Flaxseeds are high in omega 3, this helps reduce breast cancer risk.
Flaxseeds are lower in enzyme inhibitors than soya. Soya has a much higher levels of trypsin inhibitors. This is linked to an increased risk of pancreatic cancer.
