Masten Space Systems first flight

The very first flight attempt on Masten Space Systems XA-0.1B-750 vertical takeoff, vertical landing rocket vehicle.

A liquid oxygen/isopropyl alcohol, 800 pound-force rocket engine propels the vehicle on a short up/down trajectory. The engine's two axis gimbal keeps the vehicle with firey end down.

liquid oxygen and alcohol....the same stuff Von Braun used in the V2 rockets. You guys are using some "old school" rocket propellants.

V2 used ethyl alcohol, but yes. They have significant advantages, including that they've been used for a very long time and are well developed.

Of the four full time employees here in Mojave, one of them is an aerospace engineer. So it's not at all required.

There your best bet would with one of the companies planning to fly people soon, like Virgin Galactic or XCOR. In a few years, it may be useful.
