Tourist arrivals increase 25/03/2009

The arrival of ourists in the island has increased. Our reporters said that there are many tourists visiting the island.

majority of the tourists are frequenting the Southern as well as Eastern sea belts in the island. It is also reported that there are many tourists in hotels in the South. The tourists referred to the islands attraction and security.
A tourist was of the view that the island is actually suitable for them due to its natural beauty and peoples hospitality. Sri Lanka has achieved rapid development.

Traders engaged in the Tourism industry claimed that it was a very busy period for them.
