One of the most beautiful symphonies, played by the best orchestra in the world, in the best concert hall of the world, by one of the greatest conductors of all time. Enjoy!

  • You should really change the title to "RCO," instead of "KCO." I rarely type in "Koninklijk Concergebouworchest" instead of "Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra."

  • Thanks for the tip, I changed the name! :)

  • I have heard various versions with different conductors. Each conductor has a different touch in this music. I like this version. This version makes me shiver to the end of the song.

  • I loooove it! They're so amazing.. I wish I could like them.. :(

  • I can't stop say that: Beethoven is Jesus and Mozart is God

  • I can't stop thinking about yaks when I listen to this symphony now. Thanks a lot, Beecham.

  • Bravo to timpanist Nick Would!

  • @abviolinplayer I play in that orchestra. It's great indeed, but I am glad I did not have to kill anyone to play there ;-).

  • Maestro Hatink rarely speaks during rehearsals. Al the information comes directly form the hand gestures and the facial expressions. A true master of his art. Even without uttering a word, every orchestra immediately sounds like him.

  • Thank you very much for uploading this great performance and for providing a link to the whole thing! I love Haitink's facial expressions at the beginning of the 4th movement.

  • No matter how many times I've listened to this magnificent finale..my eyes are never dry at the end of it

  • Such extreme staccato throughout the movement. IMO, a welcome interpretation by Haitink who is respected worldwide for his Beethoven.
