I had acne that totally cleared up when I totally fasted from food. The food fast was for food allergies and I needed to fast because there was a chance that I was reacting to rice as well as fruits and some vegetables. It only took 3days for my skin to totally clear up. All acne may not be food-allergy related, but I know mine was at the time. Dr's won't acknowledge it, but my experience speaks for itself. Know your Body. I dont' recommend fasting, but elimination diets can't hurt.
@SparkleShimmerxx so what do you eat??? because i think i might be like this but i dont know if i can face it! also, do you think your food sensitivities will ever go? and will you ever be able to eat these food again?
This is so true! I am allergic to wheat, but for the longest time I did not take it seriously and ate wheat and gluten anyways. Ever since I saw a doctor who prescribed many medication but none of them worked on my acne. Recently, I went to see a nutritionist who helped me make choices about my diet. Since I have stopped eating wheat, gluten, grains, sugar and fruit my acne has cleared up immensely! The measures I take may sound drastic, but to me they are worth i
I actually mentioned this to my dermatologist and asked if it was a possibility that my acne was being caused by food allergy or intolerance. He just rejected the notion outright and told me there's no such thing. This was before he prescribed Accutane for me. It has been 1 month now. So we'll see how this works out.
