Under Gray Skies

Time to start this monster of a game. This is considered to be one of the most difficult games in the series, mainly due to the game's lack of proper balance (you'll see what I mean later on).

This game is also the longest in the series, lasting a good 43 chapters. The chapters are divided into four Parts, each part having their own Prologue and Endgame all the way up the Epilogue (at the end of Part IV). Whenever a new character joins the party, I'll provide a summary of him/her here.

The first mission of the game is a simple Rout mission, even though the Brigands hit pretty hard early on.

CHARACTERS:

Micaiah - Light Mage, lv 1

One of the game's main characters. Because she's a main character, you're forced to use her so you might as well put her to proper usage. The problem with Micaiah is the fact that while she prioritizes heavily on Magic, Luck and Resistance, the rest of her stats need a little work unless you get lucky with her growths. In my opinion, her biggest weakness aside from HP is her Speed (35% growth). If you're impatient with this sort of thing like me, you may want to consider manipulating the RNG just so she doesn't get doubled so much. Being able to use Light magic makes her invaluable, but having Magic to soften up the enemies could prove you useful.

Edward - Myrmidon, lv 4

Your typical sword arm. He has good growths and is one of the team's main offensive units. Early on though, he'll have trouble taking a hit thanks to his below average Defenses. All in all, he ain't half bad.

Leonardo - Archer, lv 4

Currently the team's only source of bows. While has has plenty of Skill and an unusually high amount of Resistance, his necessary stats like Strength, Speed and Defense need work and his growths aren't the greatest. Unless you like him, you may want to bench him by the end of Part I.
