Brilliant post....I was brought up with mrs slocombes 'pussy'...timeless classic British comedy...thirty years or so on and still makes a new generation laugh....brilliant stuff !!

I lost it when she said that! lol

Are you being served play here in Canada during the early seventies once a week then !:) I and a couple of freinds, then in our early teens, thought it rather risque !:) Throughout the nighties it was broadcast on a PBS station near here and yes I too could almost repeat evry line I enjoyed it so much,,for the comedy !:) I too am sorry to hear Molly has passed ! Very thankfull for post !

We have had it for some time. It is presented by BBC America. I watch it and along with "Keepin Up Appearances" and "As Time Goes By". I have loved British Comedy since the 1960s. PBS here presents a lot of quality British programming

I think Are You Being Served has been on in the US since the 70s. I still record it every week even though I know them all well enough to recite. This is a good compilation.
