Because the North Korean long-range missile is sitting on the bed of the ocean at this moment does not mean we can stop worrying about the potential catastrophic consequences of a future launch by this nation or the far more successful launches by a militant Iran. According to many defense experts the launch was not a failure, in fact it was a major step towards creating a first strike weapon against the United States via the use of EMP (electro magnetic pulse) weapons.. An overwhelming EMP attack can be triggered by one to three small nuclear bombs, detonated above the earths atmosphere, which will wipe out the entire power grid of the United States. . . permanently. One Congressional study estimates that 90% of all Americans would be dead a year after such an attack.

Bill Forstchens current New York Times best selling novel One Second After, Forstchen describes in graphic detail how an EMP attack can cripple America, literally in one second. Additional details on the threat of EMP can be garnered from the authors website at: www.onesecondafter.com.
